Earlier this year, the Wolfsonian Museum in Miami held the first ever U.S exhibition on the life and work of designer Julius Klinger. The exhibition showed the development of the Austrian designer’s career through over 100 posters, prints, drawings, and book illustrations from The Wolfsonian’s collection; revealing the incredible scope of his work. From Jugendstil artist to promoter of Bauhaus and the New Typography, Klinger seemed to lay the groundwork for much of the principles of graphic design we know today.
Please enjoy the new gallery devoted to this outstanding designer. You’ll find a biography of his life and examples of his posters, prints, and drawings.
